Team Lead, Corporate IT


Position Summary
The position of Team Lead, IT will oversee corporate IT systems and personal.  The role will be responsible for ensuring that the team is providing a high level of service to corporate users from IT support perspective.  The Team Lead, IT will coordinate the gathering of relevant metrics for reporting purposes.  The position will also be responsible for budgetary management/oversight, medium and long-term planning in coordination with the rest of the Operations Department, coordination with other Operations and staff areas/departments, and initiatives that contribute to operational excellence.
Responsibilities (Technical/Non Technical):
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the PC’s, corporate servers, day to day administration of phone systems, corporate applications and other information technology equipment
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
  • Ensure support team provides exceptional customer service
  • Develop and enhance team processes to increase productivity and client satisfaction
  • Works to ensure that all major operational activities, associated quality and integrity is consistent with IT methodology and best practices.
  • Oversees desktop security infrastructure ensuring that they comply with policies
  • Develop and update IT policies and SOP’s for corporate IT infrastructure and support
  • Build and maintain effective working relationship with key technology team members
  • Effectively communicate project goals and expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Report on and analyze the progress of the projects, help desk response, and infrasturure
  • Managing and monitoring vendor, consultants, and contractors
  • Working with Operations leadership to create departmental budgets
  • Establish and maintain standards and procedures for Operational reporting and documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership, clarity and direction for on-site resources and vendor teams.
  • Ensures technical standards and architecture designs are followed.
  • Monitoring internal ticketing system to ensure compliance with SLA
  • Maintain status of high priority tickets and customers; reporting statuses to sponsor operational leadership
  • Managing IT Service Catalog and asset management process
  • Perform all project management functions to including work breakdown and cost estimation, scheduling, monitoring and tracking of technical progress against the defined timetables and budgets, and staff assignment and development.
  • Define and implement development plans for assigned projects in order to increase staff’s knowledge and skills in the areas of project management, requirements management, and technology capabilities.
  • Incumbent(s) in this position may be required to perform other duties and special assignments not specifically stated above.
Qualifications (Required/Highly Beneficial/Beneficial):
  • 3 - 5 years experience in leading teams
  • 5 years of technology experience ‐ Extraordinary people and teamwork skills as
  • well as impeccable communication (written/oral)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise system documentation and manage inventory
  • Knowledge of the trading brokerage industry would be an asset.
  • Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors
  • Strong leadership aptitude to foster a positive work environment that considers the dynamics of physical, social, psychological, and environmental factors
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build client rapport and develop/discipline/reward employees
